The Eufy Robot Vacuum Review
Eufy is known for making easy-to-use robot vacuums that are easy to use. The Eufy RoboVac 30C model is Wi-Fi-enabled and includes the remote control for simple use via the app. It also comes with boundary strips and a battery that lasts for 100 minutes.
Its Boost IQ technology lets you transfer from tile and wood to low-pile carpeting and area rug without a hitch. Other features that are standard include drop and obstacle detection, allowing it to avoid bumping into walls and furniture.
Boost IQ Technology
The Eufy robotic vacuum line includes a variety of models. However certain features are common to all of them. Boost IQ is one of these features, which allows your robot to move effortlessly from hard flooring to medium to low pile carpeting and area rugs. It will automatically increase suction force when it comes across a specific type of surface to ensure the best possible clean.
Another great feature is the ability to switch between a variety of cleaning modes. The Quick Clean mode is perfect for a quick 30 minute sweep of the floor. Auto will work in an area with a lot of space without switching modes. Edge will focus on corners and walls.
Of course, the eufy robot also has the essential capabilities like drop and obstacle detection as well as self-emptying bases. Obstacle and drop detection is a common feature on all robots since it helps them avoid bumping into walls or furniture and also keeps them from falling down stairs or other areas that could be hazardous.
Some of the eufy robots have a variety LED indicators that can communicate with you, similar to a digital watch. A solid green means the robot is in standby or charging mode. Blue indicates it's functioning and on. A solid orange means that your eufy has ran out of energy and has to return to its original location.
The eufy RoboVac 11S, a top-rated robot vacuum, is perfect for those looking for a robust robot with a long-lasting running time. It also has the ability to be able to reach the farthest corners of your house. Its slim design is a good fit under furniture or in tight spaces. It also has an tempered glass cover that is scratch-resistant. It also has physical controls as well as smart sensors that help with navigation, and different cleaning options. It lacks some of the more advanced features of other models, like digital maps or apps-based controls.
Powerful Suction
A powerful 2,000-pa suction level makes this robot vacuum great for removing food particles cereal crumbs, food particles, and other debris or dust on hard floors and carpeting with a low to medium pile. It also gets rid of dust mites, pet hair and other allergens off of upholstered furniture. The side-brush that rotates is great for getting into corners and along baseboards. The rolling brush picks up dirt, dust and other debris that adheres to surfaces.
The 25C is connected to Wi-Fi and can be controlled using a smartphone app or by voice when connected to smart home speakers such as an Amazon Echo or Google Assistant. It also has a compact charging base that can hold the vacuum when it is not in use.
All Eufy robot vacuums have many standard features, including obstacle and drop detection to prevent it from running into objects or falling down the stairs. Certain models, like the eufy RoboVac11S and its re-engineered successor the eufy RoboVac 30C MAX also come with advanced navigation systems that build and keep the virtual floor map so that it is aware of where to go (and the best places to stay away from) every time it cleans.
You can create certain areas and tailor cleaning cycles for the eufy robotic vacuum without the Alexa compatible app or voice controls. You can also cordon off sensitive rooms, such as areas that house toys for children or console tables. This model comes with two bounding strips that allow you block off larger areas.
The RoboVac 11S Max is one of our most efficient robotic vacuums, earning the top marks for cleaning and navigation. Its design is simple, having only one button to start it up and an on/off switch beneath for a continuous shut-off. It also features an tempered-glass surface, ten sensors to steer away from obstacles and it comes with a 0.15 gallons/0.6 liter dust bin. Its redesigned navigation here system is equipped iPath technology that creates and stores a map of your floor. It then uses that map to swiftly navigate to every area of the house and ensure it covers every inch of your floor.
Convenient App Control
Eufy's models are equipped with smart features that let you control your device remotely. This allows you to schedule cleaning times, designate virtual boundaries that prevent your robot from entering certain areas (such as rooms that are stuffed with electrical cords) and set the return to base feature. Some even let you draw a a map of your home and mark areas you'd like to get rid of.
The top eufy robotic cleaners come with a unique navigation system known as'smart mapping', which scans your home's floors and creates a map it references every time it cleans. This allows the vacuum cleaner to effortlessly move between plain floors and area rugs, and back again, without skipping one step.
The RoboVac 25C from Eufy is a good illustration of this kind of model. It has three different suction power settings that can be selected using the companion app "Standard", "Turbo" which improves the efficiency of the machine when cleaning bare floors and "Max" which is specifically designed to clean floors with high piles.
The battery life of the vacuum is also very good. It can operate in its default "Standard" mode for up to 100 mins. The vacuum has built-in indicator for batteries that blinks blue when it is charging, then turns orange when the power is low, and finally is fully charged and solid blue.
Another cool feature is the "Spot Cleaning' mode that allows you to force the vacuum to concentrate on a narrow, localized area by pressing a button at its base. This is great for getting pet hair or crumbs out of tight corners or from under furniture, where a traditional vacuum would struggle to reach.
The eufy RoboVac does an excellent job on pet hair, however it may require several more passes in order to get rid of stubborn patches of hair from high and low pile carpeting. It's not as adept in taking hair off of crevices and cracks on carpeted floors as it is with plain floors. However it does an excellent job of removing pet fur from bare and covered surfaces.
100 Minutes of Cleaning
The eufy robotic vacuum can provide an impressive 100 minutes of cleaning, with automatic return to its base to charge. It can be used on a variety of floors, and is equipped with an efficient vacuum that can remove anything from cereal crumbs to glitter tiny specks. A tough brush roll as well as an additional side brush allow it to reach the corners and crevices that aren't within reach for other robots.
The battery-powered robovac works on carpets and hard floors, and it can be controlled via the included remote control or using your smartphone or smart home assistant to send commands over Wi-Fi. You can also adjust the Boost IQ feature, which optimizes suction power based on the kind of floor the vac is working on.
The G30 Edge, like other robots that are eufy, is designed to move around your home in a minimally-setup manner. It takes just a minute to snap on the rotating edge brushes and connect to your home Wi-Fi. Once it's connected and you're able to make use of the app to design a cleaning schedule and voice commands through the compatible smart speaker.
This level of personalization is available on many eufy robotic vacuum cleaners. You can choose the areas you'd like it to clean and when. The app can also define virtual boundaries that can be used to block the robot from entering rooms where there may be electrical cords or other obstacles that you'd prefer not to clean up.
Certain eufy products come with an intuitive map, which makes use of a combination of sensors to calculate the locations of walls and furniture. It then creates a route to cover the area. Others use an algorithm for navigation called iPath, which is more sophisticated. In these instances, the robotic vacuum applies an algorithm to generate an iPath path, and then follows it until the specified area is covered. The robot then returns to its dock and starts charging, waiting for its next scheduled cleaning.
Other models of eufy's robot vacuum do not have this level intelligence. These models, which are generally the cheapest in the lineup do not have an electronic mapping system, but instead chart the same zig-zag pattern every time they begin a cleaning session. While this can be frustrating at times, the eufy robot will always cover the same areas over and over again. It also doesn't miss corners or other hard-to-reach areas.
