The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a great option for those looking for a mid-range robot vacuum and mop. It provides a fantastic mopping experience, but doesn't have the features that make up its more expensive sibling.
During testing it was able to tackle dust and dry oats on medium-pile carpet as well as pet hair on hard flooring. It doesn't use LIDAR however, as other models do to map your home.
1. iRobot Roomba S9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the most highly-rated robots. It offers impressive cleaning power and plenty of features that include an automatic dirt bin built into its charging base. This robot can learn your habits of cleaning, and recommend automatic schedules that will give you a truly hands-free cleaning experience.
Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once the system is setup you can begin the cleaning automatically with just one button click. You can choose the general clean option which focuses on the elimination of larger pieces of debris like cereal and rice. Or you can select two detailed mappings to ensure that your home is cleaned thoroughly.
This robot vac performs well on both floors that are bare and carpets with low pile. It sucks up large items and doesn't lose suction as quickly as some others do and can pick up pet hair without difficulty. It has a difficult time with high-pile or plush carpet, however iRobot promises it will get better in the future with new models.
The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that concentrates on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that has a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes that this will allow it hug furniture and walls. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are widely used, but we found it to be only marginally superior to circular models.
iRobot also claims the S9+ comes with a superior filtering system that blocks tiny dust particles and allergens from circulating in your home. We think this is a nice claim but not enough to justify a premium price.
Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors to store the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map your interior. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles like stairs and other barriers, and also to clean your whole home in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, as well as establish virtual boundary markers, so that it can recognize areas that need extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vac settings are just as effective as those of higher-end models and its mopping system is better still--its spinning pads do a much better job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibration pad.
The only issue is the absence of a second brush for deeper cleaning. However, it's not a big deal when you're looking to purchase one of the best robots available. The dust tank of the robo-vac is larger than its competitors, and filling it up only takes two or three cycles, even when you've got a lot of dirt.
For the mopping device, I was amazed with its ability to scrub the tough dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings, which are less powerful than the high-powered settings, produce minimal noise, meaning you can work or watch TV without being distracted. If it comes across an object, such as a wall or piece of furniture it gently bumps into it and then moves forward.
The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that can automatically transfer physical garbage into the bin hidden in the click here background and washes and drys mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app is adept at alerting you when something needs attention, for example, the water tank being empty or a scheduled cleaning session that was cancelled due to a full dust bin.
You can also create and merge actual rooms to alter how the Q Revo manages your home. This is a great feature if you have multiple areas of the home with different floor materials or if there's items that need to be cleaned out frequently, like toys, clothes, and books. The robot vacuum was also one of the best performers in my tests cleaning up debris from carpets and hardwood floors with the first pass. It is able to even vacuum up wet spills, though I recommend wiping them dry using a clean cloth before bringing the robot in.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a premium robot vacuum and mop combo and more. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum that has a powerful suction that cleans carpets and hard floors, and a rotating mop that scrubs tough stains. It also has self-cleaning bases that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads, keeping them free of germs and ready to use again. It also features a new sensor system that can better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to avoid falling over furniture and other objects.
The most significant improvement to the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its sleeker, modern design. This is thanks to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still big. It measures over two feet in both height and depth, and weighs almost four pounds. However the robot as well as its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.
This version is also more efficient than the X1 one, because it has faster battery charging and can handle a complete cleaning of about 1,500 square feet on one charge. It also comes with a larger and more durable dustbin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.
The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that is functional even if you are not at home. It also comes with an intelligent routing feature that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home, instead of following a predetermined route.
The Omni Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we've tested, because of its rotating mop pads that remove tough stains and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is also outstanding, and it also increases suction when it senses a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It also has a massive battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as powerful as any we've seen in a consumer-grade robot.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a high-end mop and robot vacuum that comes with a variety of convenience features that you aren't likely to find on robots in this price range. It can make detailed floor maps and identify different flooring types. It's also among the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. Although these features are useful however, they also put the L10s Ultra in the luxury category, which might make it slightly more expensive than some homeowners require.
It is designed to look like a contemporary floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device with an elegant white finish highlighted by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine has a large bumper that protects the vacuum cleaner and furniture as you move around your home. Sensors are concealed behind the front pane which helps the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top, you'll find one button that acts as an on/off switch. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, while clicking it again will turn off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The circular menu located in the middle of the control panel lets you to choose cleaning modes, schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons on the screen will bring up the app's settings menu where you can modify how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of cameras and LIDAR technology to map out your home. This allows the robot to vacuum and mop effectively without getting stuck. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and identify them as obstacles, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or children.
The L10s Ultra provides solid vacuuming performance that clears 98.4 percent of the debris from our test on the hard floor and taking out all but the most difficult juice stains. Its mops also do a great job and remove 98.4 percent of the debris from our carpet, tile and wood tests. However, it wasn't as effective in removing sand from the floor, or the quaker oats that are on carpet.
